The graduate

Today begins an exciting weekend for my family. MY SISTER is graduating! She worked INCREDIBLY hard, going to school, completing clinical hours all while working full time.  MY SISTER will be (after the ceremony tonight I will say is) a marriage and family therapist. Hooray!

MY SISTER's preschool graduation. I'm hoping she wears that hat.

I’m charging the camera battery and have a clear memory card so there will definitely be lots of pictures. Mazal tov MY SISTER. I love you and am so proud!

    Dear Ellie,

You probably do not remember me, but I had you as a student in sixth grade and your sister also. I think you had just moved to Mahtomedi. We are teaching the book Night right now and giving information about the Holocaust and WWII, and Deb Kipp (Deb Winters before marriage) showed me that you are now a rabbi! I am so proud of you. I would expect nothing less as your family was incredible, and you were such a delightful person and fun to work with always. I enjoyed reading parts of this blog, and I can see that you have blossomed into an amazing, beautiful young woman who is kind and intelligent and energetic. You are doing remarkable work. You amazed me as a young lady, and you amaze me even nore as I read some of the journeys you have been on and some of the accomplishments you have achieved!. I bet your parents are so happy. I am sorry to hear about your mother’s passing–she was such a gentle, yet vibrant person.I just lost my mother last week and it is a painful loss. I just wanted to thank you for providing wonderful memories, and I wanted to congratulate you on the person you have become. I wish you great happiness always.
    Best wishes always,
    Claudine Goodrich
